The Dip

With the big game coming I had a request for my dip recipe, so I am posting it here for posterity.

 16oz Breakstone Light Sour Cream
   8oz Philly Light Cream Cheese
   2 Packages Hidden Valley Ranch Ranch Dressing Mix (Not the Dip Mix, which is total fail)

Allow sour cream and cream cheese to warm at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Place the cream cheese on the bottom of the bowl and sprinkle one package of the dressing mix over it. Then pour the sour cream over add the second package of dressing mix.

Hand mix 2-3 minutes until well combined, with a mostly smooth consistency with small chunks of cream cheese throughout the dip. (You can use a mixer which will create an even consistency, but I feel the dip is improved with those small blasts of cream cheese flavor you get from hand mixing.)

Place mixed dip directly into the freezer for 30-45 minutes to chill. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.

Good with chips of all kinds and veggies.
